How long has it been, since you shared your amazement at the result you saw with that remedy you never used before or your frustration about the failure of your well indicated remedy?

In January 2006, I finally felt courageous enough to sit my MFHom exam and passed it. I was delighted until I realised, with every gain comes loss.

In my case it meant, I would miss the inspiring teaching, the stimulating group work and discussion with like-minded people at the MFHom preparation course.

I was looking for other options. The West of Scotland meeting every first Wednesday of the month was a possibility, but unfortunately not for me. My passion for Homeopathy equals that for Salsa dancing on a Wednesday night.

At the time I attended a case discussion group for Hypnosis in Edinburgh and it occurred to me that this was what was needed for Homeopathy.

I ran the idea by friends and colleagues and people reacted very positively. The interest was there, all I needed was to find a place to meet.

Thanks to the support of the Academic Department and staff at the Homeopathic Hospital in Glasgow, we were able to use a room at the hospital for the evening.

The Homeopathic Case Studies Group has now been running successfully for about 6 months and is complementing the West of Scotland group meetings well.

The recipe? Mix together Midwife, GP, Homeopath, Psychiatrist, Pharmacist, Veterinarian and Obstetrician with different lengths of experience in Homeopathy; stir in plenty of challenging, interesting and successful cases and season liberally with humour and laughter.

Everyone who has had a taste so far has found it a rewarding experience.
